Same-day crowns start from $850.
What is a same-day CEREC crown?
A crown is a custom-made cap that covers and protects a damaged, decayed or weakened tooth. With traditional crowns, you usually wear a temporary crown while a lab makes the final one. CEREC lets us take a digital scan of your tooth, design your crown on screen and mill it from high-quality ceramic right here in our clinic – so you leave with your final crown on the same day.
How it works – all in one visit
- Digital scan – a quick, comfortable 3D scan of your tooth replaces messy impression trays.
- Design – we design your crown on screen to match the shape and colour of your natural teeth.
- Milling – your crown is milled in our clinic from a solid block of tooth-coloured ceramic.
- Fitting – we check the fit and bite, then bond your new crown in place. You walk out with your finished tooth.

Is a CEREC crown as strong as a traditional crown?
CEREC crowns are made from high-quality ceramic designed for everyday chewing, and with good care they are long-lasting.
Will it look natural?
Yes. We match the shape and shade of your crown to your surrounding teeth.
Does it hurt?
The tooth is numbed with local anaesthetic, so you should feel little more than some pressure. If you feel anxious, oral and IV sedation are available.
Can you also do veneers or onlays on the same day?
Yes, CEREC can also be used for veneers, onlays and some bridges.
