Free Children’s Dental Care in Silverdale (ARDS)
Dental care is free for children under 13 in New Zealand with a referral from the Auckland Regional Dental Service (ARDS). At Dazzle Family Dental in Silverdale, we accept ARDS referrals and make dental visits a calm, positive experience for kids.
How to book with an ARDS referral
- Ask ARDS for a referral letter for your child.
- Email the referral letter to dazzlefamilydental@gmail.com.
- We will contact you to book your child’s appointment.
There is no surcharge for the dental treatment we provide for children with an ARDS referral – the only extra cost is sedation, if your child needs it.
Gentle care for little ones
Dr Sim Sood has a special interest in treating children. She uses the “tell, show and do” approach – explaining and showing each step before she starts – so children feel at ease and know what to expect.
Sedation for anxious children
For children who are very nervous, we can provide sedation (at an extra cost) to help make treatment a calmer, more comfortable experience. Find out more about sedation.
No referral? You are still welcome
We also see children under 13 without an ARDS referral as paying patients.
Teenagers
From Year 9 until their 18th birthday, teenagers can register directly with us for free dental care – no referral needed. Free dental care for teens.
